Enchanted Forest: An Inky Quest & Coloring Book

This magical coloring book by Johanna Basford takes colorists through an enchanted forest to discover what lies in the castle. Similarly interactive like SECRET GARDEN, ENCHANTED FOREST also features hidden objects and fun mazes. Beginning at the entrance to a fairy-tale forest, the journey progresses through highly embellished woods and through intricate flora. Castles, treasure chests, and other magical elements add a fairy tale narrative to the designs. Special features include a gate-folded two-page spread, and a colorable jacket

This is the most beautiful coloring book that I own and the only one that captivates and inspires all of my grown children and every one of my grandchildren, both the boys and the girls.

The coloring book itself is good. The designs are very whimsical. Lots of leaves to color! Works well with coloring pencils and gel pens, although I wish the pages were a bit thicker. When using gel pens don't let them rest to long on the paper, it may bleed to the next design.

If you are wondering what kind of medium you should use, I strongly suggest Staedtler triplus fineliner marker pens (photo attached). I got my 20 piece set at Target. The colors are vivid (see photo of the first page I've colored), the tip glides over the paper smoothly and easily, and the 0.3 mm point means you can color in the smallest of spaces (this book demands a tiny point!)
